The Week That Split Time: A Legacy Passed, A Mission Renewed

In the heart of Kenya’s youth empowerment movement, this past week marked a defining moment – a transition that split time.

We bid farewell to Robin, Jonas, and Julia, the last 2024–2025 Play Handball volunteers whose year of service left a lasting imprint. From coaching clinics to community outreach, their presence stirred hope, built resilience, and sparked transformation across Machakos, Buruburu, Mathare, Korogocho, Juja and beyond. Their legacy is not just remembered it’s lived out in every young leader they inspired.

That same evening, a new chapter began. The 2025–2026 Play Handball team stepped forward bold, expectant, and ready to ignite change. With fresh energy and deep commitment, they’ll be engaging youth in Utawala, Buruburu, Mathare, Korogocho and Machakos, carrying forward the torch of empowerment.

This isn’t just a handover. It’s a declaration:
The baton has passed.
The mission intensifies.
The youth rise.

From one generation to the next, the movement grows stronger. And the story continues.
